Intensive course for professionals (PROFI) – partially or fully online

Thank you for your interest in the EEG Biofeedback for Professionals course. The PROFI course is open to psychologists, physicians, educators, social workers and teachers. Those interested in other disciplines can attend by appointment.

Our training model meets the standards of international professional societies and institutes for EEG BFB (AAPB, BCIA). More than 600 professionals have already completed the courses. The trainees receive a manual of therapeutic protocols to perform the method and professional materials. Graduates will then receive a certificate of completion that qualifies them to work with the method. We design the course for professionals with a small number of trainees to ensure an individual approach and efficient procedure.

The PROFI course lasts 4 days (+ 4h of supervision) and  has 3 parts:

The first, theoretical part (2 days), consists of lectures and is conducted online.

The second, practical part (2 days), is done in person at the Biofeedback Institute site, usually at a weekend. Alternatively, the practical part can also be done fully online providing you have the biofeedback machine.

The third part of the course consists of 4 supervision sessions (4 x 50 min.), which are conducted online and start the 3rd week after the practical part of the course. You are encouraged to bring your own clients to the supervision sessions.

If necessary, additional online supervision sessions can be arranged under the supervision of the course tutor, which are paid separately.

I took the course for professionals and I am really satisfied. I gained a great deal of information and study materials beyond the basic use of EEG BF, which I will continue to absorb and incorporate into my therapeutic practice for some time to come, with the help of supervision. It suited me that the course is split into two parts – the theoretical one from the video recordings at home (I play, stop and return the recordings as I need), and the practical one already in person with practice of direct work. The EEG Biofeedback method is a great supportive option for people with a range of difficulties from SPU, epilepsy to ADHD, depression to anxiety. The course of professional and theoretical training was conducted in a friendly to family environment. First we covered the theoretical basics, which were combined with practical training. Which was great to immediately put into practice what was explained to us theoretically. All our questions were answered immediately and the cooperation was on a professional level. We were also given ample materials as part of the training, which I still draw on to this day.

I am very glad that I could go through this course under the guidance of the very esteemed Dr. Tyl and Mr. MSc. Jakub Jílek. I use biofeedback every day for our pupils from the 4th primary school in Jirkov (Municipal Grammar School and Jirkov Primary School). I would recommend biofeedback to anyone who wants to use this supportive method and enrich their pedagogical practice. As a special educator and occupational therapist I like this method very much and the pupils leave the therapy relaxed and satisfied. Although this method is perceived very sceptically in the Czech Republic, I would definitely recommend it as a complementary therapy to anyone who has even the slightest problem with falling asleep, etc. During the therapy you relax pleasantly and leave with a pleasant feeling. What more could I ask for as an educator.
